Quintessential Noir Tropes in Gotham City

After nearly two decades, I found my copy of this and reread it in one sitting. Ed Brubaker writing matched with Sean Phillips art telling a noir story is a perfect match. This story is short and sweet and ticks all the checkboxes. It's style over substance, certainly, but that's no critique. Arguably, the best film noir titles work that way. The style IS the substance!
